Arkarra Lagoons and Tea Gardens
View Information
The name Arkarra – meaning “place of many ducks”, was given to the lagoons by Butchulla Aboriginal Elder, Aunty Olga Miller.
Arkarra Tea Gardens is a relaxing café set on two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The Arkarra Lagoons are well known for their natural beauty and the ducks that take residence within the lagoons. Featuring timber boardwalks through one of the last remaining remnants of littoral vine forest, a picnic shelter and seating to watch the ducks, fish and turtles in the lagoons, Arkarra Lagoons is a must see!
Lose yourself for a while sipping locally roasted espresso coffee, teas, a glass of wine, beer or cocktail in your own Bali Hut as you listen to the local birdlife.
Indulge in their homemade sweet treats or a scrumptious breakfast or lunch made by their gourmet chef.
There is plenty of scenery to enjoy as you let the world slip away.
When you are refreshed consider going for a short walk around the adjoining lagoons and take in even more of the natural beauty.
Come and see why it is worth a visit to Arkarra Tea Gardens. The beautiful, tranquil venue is also available to book for weddings and functions – visit their website or chat to their team to learn more.
